I’ve been using Turbo Tax since way back in the Mac In Tax days. These days you automatically get the Mac version right on the installation disc when you buy any version of Turbo Tax at a retailer or even as a download from Intuit or an online retailer. So there is no longer a “Mac Tax” in Turbo Tax. The 2009 version seems to be at a minimum no worse than last year, and likely a bit of an improvement (it seems easier to navigate this year). Bundling eFile probably works for 90% of tax filers who would use a retail version of Turbo Tax in the first place, especially anybody who expects a tax refund since eFilers get tax refunds back from the IRS much faster than paper filers do. And if you already use Quicken or used Turbo Tax last year the super easy importing of all that tedious data saves literally hours when it comes time to do your taxes this year.

5I’ve used TurboTax for many years to prepare my tax return without incurring the major cost of a CPA. And each year it becomes better and easier to use! Intuit continues to make improvements even when I can see no need for them.
